第七版教材深入贯彻党的二十大精神，深度融入数智化教学资源，以适应新时代高等职业教育英语教学改革和发展要求，并兼顾应用型本科教学实际。本次修订主要体现在以下几个方面：
1.深化价值融入，培育时代新人
本次修订更新了教材选文及练习素材，将社会主义核心价值观与职场情境创设、语言技能训练有机融合，培养学生的职业使命感和责任感，落实立德树人根本任务；以真实职场情境为依据取材，更新时效性素材，反映新趋势、新发展等，培养学生讲好中国故事、传扬工匠精神的能力。
2.优化结构体例，匹配教学需求
遵循课标对教学阶段和教学课时的调整，优化教材结构和定位，明确单元目标，以3册、每册6个单元的体量覆盖基础模块及拓展模块。其中，前两册对应基础模块，满足共性学习需求，各单元覆盖课标中基础模块的主题类别；第3册定位为拓展模块，支持学生继续学习与个性发展。
3.调整单元设计，提升教学效率
遵循语言学习规律和教学实际，重塑单元结构。新增听说训练并置于每单元阅读文章Text A之前；技能拓展与训练模块（Skills Development and Practice）中的听、说、读、看、写、译模块相互联系又自成体系，教师可根据实际情况灵活教学，高效实施；阅读文章Text B 置于单元最后，定位为泛读模块。
