This textbook is written according to the national textbook publishing plan of China. On the basis of the previous textbook, this edition reorganized the main contents, simplified the theoretical derivations and emphasized on the engineering practice and applications.In the beginning of this textbook, there is a chapter introducing the fundamental concepts of measurement technology and its developing trend. The following chapters are divided into two parts, which includes 10 chapters in total. The first part introduces signal processing techniques and the second part introduces sensors and measurement systems. The main contents include: waveform analysis of signals, frequency domain analysis, amplitude domain analysis , correlation analysis of signals, timefrequency domain analysis, digital filtering, principles of sensors, signal conditioning techniques, characteristics of measurement system and computerized measurement system.The theoretical part of this textbook is clearly organized along the main line of the measurement process; the application part lists a large number of examples, which come from scientific research and production practices. Particularly, this textbook absorbs the cutting edge theories and research results. This book can be used as a textbook for students majored in mechanical design and automation, as well as textbook for other nonmechanical majors.
